First, I'd like to thank the posters of the International board for some great, great Paris advice. Esp. John Whitings website and Jake Parrott's posts.
In May, I will be staying on Rue Dauphine at Le Regent and want to eat at some good bakeries or cafes. I read the bakery posts but want to know, can you sit down and get coffee and pastries at these places, or do you buy them and eat on the street? Is it rude to buy a brioche and take it to a cafe and order coffee? I have been to Paris, but mainly on biz and ate at the hotel, or for romance and ate in the room with my husband.
Any brioche recommendations? BTW, is the new Laduree as good as the original?
