There are indeed other posts re: food on the 101 (or lack thereof), but I am only able to find one post --from 2001 -- about a place to eat breakfast.
I'm looking for an old-fashioned, diner-style restaurant with decent breakfast fixin's -- omelets, waffles, pancakes, linguisa, etc..., preferably not a chain and preferably not overboard with fabricated retro pseudo-"nostalgia". The kind of place where waitresses side up with the women at the table, the coffee tastes brown, and the menus are not too slick.
Maybe I'm asking too much, but I'd really be happy with anything except Denny's or another McBreakfast. Does such a place exist in the stretch between San Jose and Santa Maria?
