I finally had breakfast at the Breakaway Cafe in Sonoma after reading glowing reports about it here. I had a "custom" omelet, but it was the all-too-standard type consisting of a hard shell of cooked egg surrounding the (quite good) ingredients inside. I hate omelets like that; even this vaunted breakfast place does them that way. Doesn't anyone know how to cook creamy omelets? The fried potatoes were under cooked except for the small pieces and the English muffin was under toasted. What am I missing here? Why is this place so popular?
