As I was enjoying a bag of Andy Capps Hot Fries the other night, I began thinking to myself.....why cant I crush these up and use them to bread chicken? I figured the crushed hot fries would give a texture similar to panko. I assumed somebody out there had tried this before but after a quick google search much to my surprise, I found nothing. So I thought Id ask the fine folks here at Chowhound if they have ever tried such a thing and what kind of results they had gotten. What Im thinking is marinating the chicken cutlets in a buffalo wing style marinade, then going flour, egg, hot fries and baking them off. Im thinking of them on a sandwich with a blue cheese slaw recipe that I saw Aaron Mccargo (Big Daddy) use. So....whaddya think? Will it work? Have you tried it?
