The Bread at Tadich

TomSwift | Apr 26, 200605:53 PM

I was in town for dinner Monday night and had to renew my acquaintance with Tadich. The crab leg cocktail ($14.50) was was probably canned crab but it was delicious anyway. The pan fried Sand Dabs ($17.75) were a refreshing change from lemon butter and capers. The cornmeal crust was a good contrast to the fish flesh. But the real standout was the bread. I think it was sourdough but it was unlike any sourdough I've ever seen. A dense, flat discus of bread with a beautiful brown crust. I bought a couple loaves to bring home ($5.50). Can someone confirm that this really was sourdough? But most importantly, is it available outside the restaurant or by mail order? TIA
