I bought some dark pumperknickel rye the other day and thought (yet again) of the great rye bread I used to get at Oliver's Restaurant in Costa Mesa.
It was was a pumpernickel bread with orange and aniset (sp??) (that licorise spice). At the time Oliver's was open, I even used to even find it in my local grocery store. I have yet to find it since.
Does anyone know the particular name of the bread or what restaurant or other source might offer it?
