How quickly does preservative free/organic bread last on the counter on average before going mouldy?
It's humid right now in Montreal but our indoor humidity is 50% which is in the correct range for the summer. Is this the reason for the quicker mold as compared to the winter months? I've thrown out bread and 2 packages of Abu Lafia organic pitas in the past week or so after leaving them on the counter for just 2-3 days. Should I just put them straight in the fridge?
