Bread mixes in bread machine?

toodie jane | Jan 27, 2006 09:57 AM

Can you use regular packaged bread mixes in bread machines even if they're not labled as being "for bread machines"? I'm wondering if the raio of dry to wet is the same or if you need something specially made for machines.

I'm thinking of the foofoo ones you see in gift shops from different makers like Dasaant: Sundried Tomato Bread Mix, Oatmeal Honey Bread Mix, Garlic Pesto Bread Mix,etc (as long as they contain yeast)I'm not speaking of quick bread mixes like Pumpkin Walnut, Cranberry Orange etc.

Thanks breadmachinists!
