So, with all the attention given to knives on the cookware board recently, I thought let's chime in with my dilemma. Currently I have a cheapo Nogent bread knife. But I'm realising now that I actually use my bread knife a lot and hence the Nogent is due for an upgrade imho.
There are four main contenders at this stage - from cheap to expensive:
1. Victorinox
2. Mac Superior
3. Mac Professional
4. Robert Herder KB2
Since I use a bread knife all the time, I'm willing to pay say 200 euro. I've heard quite a few good stories about the Mac bread knives. Anyone has any experience with their knives?
I already have a Robert Herder paring knife so I know the brand's reputation and quality. Meaning I’m leaning to this now.
Thanks!
