Had a quick bite there yesterday. I was attracted to the outdoor seating and the continuous service. It was 4pm. My wife and I, love Indian Food. The menu is very confusing. I asked the waiter what he recommended for an appt. The Ceviche made w/ fluke. (great that was $14, the most expensive appt., I notice when you ask a waiter that question, they most often pick a pricier item!) My wife had the Guacamole "Indian Style" and the house salad. My entree was the head-on shrimp served w/ rice.

well the ceviche was the best part w/ peanuts and thai basil. very salty and limey, but I like strong flavor. This could have been in a thai/vietnamese restaurant. My wife salad was so salty, and I love salt, but this was a big mistake on the kitchens part. They return w/ a salad so bland and off it tasted like dirty dish water. The guac was okay but lacked anything to eat it with, you could pay extra for taro chips for $3 and even that was less than a handful!

my head-on shrimp came w/o the rice and when I asked the foodrunner, he looked at me like I was trying to get something for free. I reminded him that on the menu it says it comes w/ rice. Shrimp were marinated and grill, but were overcooked and mealy.

What a watse of time and money. We will not be back, do youself a favor and go to Tamarind on 22nd st. if you have the need for high-end Indian food.
