Bravo Tacqueria Redwood City

Ken Hoffman | Jul 10, 2005 11:32 AM

This little red awning adorned beauty sits near a Jack in the Box on Woodside Road and the contrast between mechanized, dehumanized fast food and loving
and midful preparation could not be more stark.

Out back is a quiet and shady deck in which to enjoy healthy handmade meals.

The fish tacos are bedded on perfectly grilled flour tortillas. The fish was tender and fresh tasting, enhanced nicely by a spritz of lime. The lavish cut cabbage was a mixture of crunchy crimson and white and the entire combination came together as well as one can hope to expect.

The shrimp quesedilla has the added bonus of fresh grilled mushrooms that provided an unexpected earthiness to the briny crunch of the very plump shrimp that studded the cheesy filling.

The chips are fresh and housemade.

Fresh ice tea was very pure in taste and refreshing on a hot day.

Bravo prides itself on good seafood offerings including cocktail de camarones, ceviche, trucha (trout) dorada and much more.

It is a wonderful place for a casual and delicious lunch.
