brasserie jo?!

Hi guys,

I know this is a question that has been asked often on this board but I am in somewhat of a quandry so am helping for the 'hounds wisdom.

Going to a show at Symphony Hall, but it's not till 10:30 tonight, so we've got plenty of time to eat. Would like to eat at a nice place; ideally somewhere where we could put the car and then walk to the concert, though I suppose we could also get ourselves to the restaurant and it to the show.

My friend is looking for steak, or seafood, I'm thinking. Wondering about Brasserie Jo....I've been there, but not in a it worth it? Nice? Good food? Good steak frites?

Where else could we go, where walking to the symphony wouldn't kill us? I had this thought of Teatro on my way to work today, but that's more of an Italian bend and I'm not sure she's up for that.

She's a big fan of oysters..I know they have them at Brasserie Jo, was also toying with the McCormick & Schmidts idea although I am not crazy about the 'chain' element...kind of looking for a unique Boston experience.

Would love something like E. Coast Grill, but Inman Sq in Cambridge just would be too much hassle tonight...

Thoughts? Ideas? Comments? All appreciated....
