Just open for business today, on the same block as the Starbucks. Didn't peruse their offerings too closely, but they looked much the same as at the other branches.
They had about five or six employees working, which seemed like overkill, considering that they're not doing any of the baking on site--probably just trying to create some opening day excitement. They said the breads and pastries are being driven over from their other locations several times a day.
It's actually a bigger space than the other La Farine shops I've been to (Rockridge and Dimond), so it seems like they could have set up ovens in the back if they wanted to.
Seems like a decent addition to the neighborhood in any case, as I don't think there are really any other bakeries or patisseries on Piedmont.
Haven't figured out how to add a new Places entry yet, so maybe someone else can help with that. The address is 4094 Piedmont Ave.
