You can take the boy out of the country...

I have never liked dining at fancy restaurants- one's requiring one to dress up(Spare me all the "respect for the food/establishment" drama. Respect can be expressed in many ways.) I'm an educated person with a respectable income, but have always liked being places where I can relax. Perhaps growning up in the sticks has helped to produce this knee-jerk reaction of uncomfortabilty. Don't get me wrong, I do not find public belching, spitting, unbuttoning one's trousers, etc. to be acceptable or relaxing.
At any rate, after reading such wonderful reviews of New Orleans restaurants such as Galatoires, and the like, I wonder if I'm not missing out here. Should I get over myself and buy a suit, or am I not really missing that much?
Be kind,
