The Box Tree -- is it worth it?

Went to The Box Tree for an anniversary dinner last night.

Setting: Beautiful, comfortable, intimate. Didn't like first table (lighting too bright); moved without a problem.
Service: Excellent waiter; helped with wine selection. Lots of other staff; received lots of attention.
Food: Delicious. Wife loved endive salad, and my "charcuterie plate" was a real treat (can't find this sort of stuff in many places). Main course (cote boeuf for 2) cooked perfectly, very flavorful. Desserts very good.

But everything was priced at least 15% higher than what you'd pay anywhere else. Some things (a bottle of $10 pinot grigio for $40) were much much more than you'd pay elsewhere.

Now mind you, it's easy to see what you're paying for. Extra staff costs money and so does all that elbow room. Time to linger costs too; was not hurried a bit by anyone; ended up spending nearly 2½ hours all told.

So I guess the question is: Is there somewhere else we could've gone that could've provided the same combination of attributes for less? If your only criterion is the food, then there are other places that are as good or better. But if you're looking for the whole package, I don't know where else to look.
