So I'm set to go to Bouley for lunch this upcoming weekend. My question is, where apps are all around $20 and entrees are each around $35-40 (yow!), I dont understand how a tasting menu of canape, app, fish entree, meat entree, chilled sweet soup, then finally dessert, can cost $45. Is this just a great deal? are portions just very tiny? Does it not represent the best of what Bouley is capable of? Not sure whether to be elated or skeptical, anyone's prior experience would be welcome.
