Another Boule lover

RickM | Jan 10, 200504:17 PM

I stopped by Boule to look for some comfort on a rainy day, and $45 later I was in heaven. Mellow and savory brioche, very good croissants and pains au chocolat, wonderful cookies (including stellar Venezuelan chocolate macarons), and a creamy but not overpoweringly sweet religieuse. The staff (three there manning an empty shop) were enthusiastic and cheerful, and they seem to have worked out the service kinks that slowed things down in earlier reports. (Gloves instead of tongs when appropriate - much faster.) They asked me to refer my friends, and so I'd like to remind all of you to stop by, postpone that New Year's resolution, and pick yourself up something good. (No, I do not work for them. I just appreciate a good pastry.)

From the website:
Boule is located at 420 N. La Cienega, across the street from Sona, between Beverly Blvd. and Melrose Ave. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. The phone number is 310.289.9977.
