Well somehow Dommy conned me into going to Saks in BH with her... bad idea because along with the Jimmy Choo bargain hunters, every out of town Christmas guest wanted to be down there too. The keen evidence to this was a huge line to get sprinkles cupcakes! Suckers... it equaled the line you might find at Pinks
Anyway, after discovering all parking lots at Saks were filled, we ended up at the structure on Bedford near Brighton, which also happened to be right next to the new branch of Boule. All to sudden the trip was looking up.
We hadn't been to Boule in a while, and Dommy! noticed how much bigger the Macaroons where. Plus, there was much more variety of chocolates, baked goods, and Sorbets. They also have lined the wall gift boxes and such.
Even through Dommy was pushing me to get the Chocolate Pudding Brioche with Caramelized Banana [not my thing], I went with the Fleur de Sel Caramel Eclair. I was great with one exception the pate a choux was thick and not as light as I hoped but the filling and the caramel was perfect.
Dommy went with two Macarrons, her favorite Meyer lemon, which was as good as she remembered. And the new Eggnog, which was multi-layered in flavor and equally as good.
Overall, we both were once again very pleased with our selection and glad that Boule has joined the neighborhood. Especially since Dommy just mentioned something called "Last Call"
