Boudin at Chevron gas station right before the Causeway

ah6tyfour | Mar 23, 201611:55 AM

Has anyone tried the boudin at the Chevron gas station that's right before the causeway? While researching for a trip, multiple people on Reddit have vouched for this place. Apparently a family from Acadiana drops their boudin off every few days. It sounds like the gas station heats it up and you buy it ready to eat. The Chevron is on Causeway Blvd and Esplanade.

If nobody has had it, but is intrigued enough to go try it and let me know if it really is as good as driving out to the boudin trail, that'd be great!

I called a few days ago to see if they still sell it, and they do. I should have asked more details (including whether I could buy it frozen or refrigerated instead of hot-ready-to-eat), but I got self-conscious about the way I was saying "boudin" and got off the phone quickly.
