bouchon, napa ---- french bistro goodness and delight.

Bouchon ---- french bistro in yountville. nothing new except another raving post.

boudin blanc:
an extra, extra soft white sausage. came with incredibly creamy mashed potatoes and not watery but moist perfectly cooked prunes.

5 bucks for like 10 mussels. i kid you not.

pot de creme:
earl grey infused, so a tea aftertaste, but overall it's has a thick consistency and rolls down your throat like a stick of butter. foie gras lovers will dig this.

creme caramel:
looks like flan, smells like flan, definitely does not taste like flan. it's awesome! light, refined, a blueblood cousin of that well-known custard. our friend called the creme caramel false advertising. i think the flan appearance threw him off....also the french rrr's the waiter threw out when he growled 'crrreme'.

thank yooou napa for a culinary delight! i'm back in LA now and feeling francophilic.
