I'm doing a bit of a loungy/rat pack (i know, i know, not horribly original) theme to my groomsmen's gifts and I want to get them each a bottle of something nice suited to their individual tastes:
For the gin drinker: Hendrick's, this one I've researched exhaustively and even did a comparison against Citadelle, Tanq Ten, and Sapphire. I'll be shamed if I'm missing a contender but don't hold back if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
For the Beaujolais drinker: I know nothing about vintage Beaujolais (I want to do something nicer than Nouveau). I'd like to get him something aged enough to be pleasantly drinkable as well as pricier than he might normally spend but have no idea where to start. What's drinking well these days? Anything?
For the Scotch drinker: I did some good research on this board but most of what I saw is around the $100 a bottle mark, I'm thinking closer to $50 or cheaper if there are some hidden gems out there. Thoughts?
For the groomsmen with a new baby: I'm going to get him a bottle of champagne, which I've got a decent knowledge of, but if anyone's got some great tips around the $40-$50 range send 'em along!
Thanks in advance hounds!!!
