Even though I was referred to as "lame" on a previous post, I thought I would tell you New Yorkers of a wonderful dining experience I had while on business in your fair city.

Went to Town, and as I was solo, I had book in hand and sat at the bar. Bartender was extremely attentive and personable and I never opened my book.

Had a wonderful Saviugon Blanc, grilled octopus salad over watercress for an appetizer that was fabulous and skate for the entree that had been deboned. Food and service were wonderful and I throughly enjoyed my meal. Price with generous tip was $85 which I thought was excellent given the quality of the food and service.

Town is not easy to locate. It is inside a hotel that isn't clearly marked, but look for the large wooden lattice doors. And I do apologize, but I think it is on 55th and 6th, but I may be wrong. If you go, you should verify the address.

Hope this makes up for being "lame".
