Boston Visit

Gateshead | Oct 4, 2005 08:24 PM

Next year I have a couple of friends from England coming over to the States to enjoy a little of Autumn in New England. They are arriving in Boston on the 26th September. I am planning on 2 days in Boston (to let them enjoy The Freedom Trail and partially recover the crossing of the “Herring Pond”).

It has been 50 years since I courted my wife in Boston and to suggest I'm a little rusty about Boston would be an under statement.

There were two restaurants that I really enjoyed back in the 50's. One was Durgan Park at Faneuil Hall Market Place and the other the Ye Olde Oyster House on Union Street . Are they worth taking foreign visitor to for a “Taste Of New England” or can someone recommend better suggestions.

Any advice is appreciated by this Mid-Atlantic ChowHound.
