Just spent a couple of days in Boston. Easily the highlight of our trip was a spectacular dinner at Erbaluce. The dining room was lovely and the ambiance fantastic.
Dinner started off with an amazing puree white bean to go with the bread. An appetizer of razor clams was amazing- huge razor clams- great broth- best razor clams we've ever had. White shrimp were excellent as well.
Our pasta course of sea urchin was to die for! Mains of whole branzino and their off the charts boar chops were fantastic.
Service was professional and very friendly. The co owner Joan chose a fantastic bottle of wine for us.
Erbaluce is a wonderful, special restaurant that needs to be recognized as one of the best. The chef uses no cream or butter while cooking, thus the natural ingredients come out in the taste of his food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
We also went to Legal Seafood Park Square. We sat down for lunch, waited 10 minutes for a server. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was brought over with two filthy glasses. The waiter looked at us like we had two heads, then looked at the glasses, and took them away. Instead of getting us new glasses, he left the cold wine on the table, and went to take an order from another table. We waited another 10 minutes, and he never came back with new glasses. We left. An hour later, I called and spoke to the manager, who couldn't have been less friendly- He wondered where we went, but didn't care about what happened at all. AVOID this branch of LS at all costs. From there we walked down the block to Rock Bottom where we had an excellent lunch with great service!
Finally, we had dim sum at Windsor Dim sum. Nothing like a table for 8 to order everything. Authentic dim sum- not the best I've ever eaten, but worthwhile on a trip to Boston!!
