Boston Restaurants...Long

May be the wrong forum for this (in fact I know it is)
But warning to all traveling to Beantown. Restaurants are lame...Todd English's new place Kingfish is boring and expensive. Average lunch meal for two $150 with tip. (one bloody mary and one beer) Was supposed to have dinner at L'Espalier but ended up blowing it off for pitchers of Bass at Sevens on Beacon. (Heard L'es was WAY over rated)

Dinner at Legal Seafood (You are pretty much asking for hell) awful. Tuna so spicy it was ineadible coupled with unlimited screaming kids. friend had sea bass that was horrible.

Hoping for a decent lunch sendoff at Joes American proved disappointing with food that rivals TGIF. Lastly, upon arrival (backwards format here), we were hoping for a late night meal of clams and oysters so we tried Union Oyster House Thursday eve at 9:30 and they were closed. (Argument enough for living in New York...I mean really )

Ok, enough ranting...I lived in Boston for 4 years and food in New York is sooooo much better. Someone out there challenge me ....

P.S.Dave F ,I know now why you "dont do boston"
