2 New York hounds visiting Boston in mid-May. We're staying in Beacon Hill, but are happy to travel anywhere in Boston proper to eat. Since we're only here for Friday night - Sunday I'm thinking that we won't try to go to Cambridge/elsewhere this trip.
I lived in Boston for about 10 years, moved to NYC in '98. At the time I left some of my favorites were Franklin Cafe, Blue Room, ECG, Tremont 647, Pete's Tavern for burgers. I'm blanking on the others...
So, here's my intinerary so far. Would you make any changes/additions? Price point not really important, neither is cuisine - just great food (no sushi or asian - not against it normally, but have my faves here in NYC - not looking for these cusines on this weekend):
Friday night, thinking of going and waiting for a table/bar seats at Franklin. Do they still have awesome chicken livers? I used to love the ones they did with fresh horseradish. Yum
Sat lunch - B&G Oysters
Sat dinner - we have reservations at Sibling Rivalry. I'm torn, I want us to have a great meal, and have it be fairly 'special' and/or romantic. Is this place really good - or is there somewhere you'd go as an alternative for our one upscale meal?
Sunday - open. Would like a great brunch/lunch option.
Thanks in advance!!
