We've had the worst winter here, and my summer-lovin daughter is looking into Tulane in search of a warmer climate for college. We're comin through NOLA next week (FEb. 16-21)to visit the school and town. I thought we were coming BEFORE mardi gras, but someone told me that this is actually the beginning of the Season.
Are we screwed when it comes to restaurants? Are we going to spend our days waiting in line? We want to go to Galatoire's, Uglieshes, and some of the other great places we've been reading about in this listing. I haven't been to NO in 20 years, and know that we have to plan our trip very carefully so we can cram in as many good meals as possible. Back then, we found that if we went early (say 6 pm) for dinner, places were practically empty (of course it was August!)Is this a posssible strategy?
