Back in Boston - recent eats and drinks

I got back to Massachusetts from Argentina last week (see post on Int'l Board)....after arriving at Logan Airport, drove directly to Chinatown with the family (which was actually challenging due to Big Dig/Sumner Tunnel construction).....had dim sum at Chow Chau City. Good as usual, though nothing particularly outstanding either.

I was back in Boston today for the afternoon. First I went to Infusions for a iced green milk tea with boba, very good, friendly service as usual. Met friends at Taiwan Cafe for dinner. We only tried one new thing: 1000 year egg with chilled tofu. The egg part was very tasty with the salty sauce and peanuts.....the tofu was the same stuff they use for crispy tofu, but was also covered in a very salty sauce, perhaps a bit too salty. Everything else we got were dishes I often eat there, everything was excellent as usual: Pork with mustard greens and bean curd, Eggplant with Basil, Soft Shell Crabs, Crispy Tofu and Scallion Pancakes. Insane amount of food for 5 hungry people for 45 dollars.

After this we all went back to Infusions, where I had a passion fruit green tea (this time with no boba).

Finally we ended the night at Cheesecake Factory in the Atrium Mall in Newton. Bleh. I need to remember not to go there anymore. I had the banana cheesecake with a side of hot fudge which was very good at first but then left me with a headache. The restaurant itself also gave me a headache I think.

It's good to be back
