Best Boston Bread Bakery? Pastries Too

Just checking to see what are folks favorite bakeries.

I am fortunate to live near the original Iggy's and love their bread. Sometimes I stray a bit further afield to Hi Rise, which also has remarkable bread and some desserts, lots of variety overall.

Does anyone have any other bread recommendations?

I also long for a really good pastry shop. I know the North End ones, and Rosie's, all very good, but I long for really amazing pastries that can be found in Paris, Vienna, or NY (to a lesser extent).

- A really good Linzer Torte
- Crumb butter cinnamon nut coffee cake
- Bubka
- Rich delicate confections filled with hazelnut/chocolate cream

In Paris I discovered a Pastry Shop Gerard Mulot that absolutely blew me away.

Boston area pastry shop recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
