We went to Bo's yesterday for the first time. We got the ribs and the brisket -- both very good, tender and smoky. Both were served with a scoop of potato salad (mustard-y with no discernible eggs-a reuirement of mine), nicely dressed green salad, corn on the cob and a piece of (Acme?) bread. These sides made the meal lighter than a typical BBQ outing. I wasn't that keen on the sauce -- for that style, it didn't seem to have enough spice (I am a fan of sweet sauce, but it has to be thick, sweet and smoky, Missouri-style). Our bill was $33 for the two meals and two Stone IPAs in big bottles (a great deal for the area, but somewhat offends my down-home sensibilities as I think of good BBQ as cheap, side of the road or Kmart parking lot fare). Overall, I would go back, but didn't feel like this was my BBQ bonanza.
