We have about a dozen people signed up for the Border Grill lunch on the 12th. I've reserved the "mesa grande" table (the large square table just as you walk into the place); it can seat 19 comfortably, so a few more people can sign up if interested. NOTE: if you have signed up already, please be on time (noon!), and please let me know if you can't make it, any time up through the morning of the lunch.
We are planning a pre-set menu that includes non-alcoholic drinks, 4 appetizers, a choice of 4 entrees (I'm going to ask that they make the Vegetarian Red Bean Stew that Carter mentioned one of the options, but we'll see), dessert, and coffee/hot tea. All together with tax and tip, it will be $25.00 per person.

Homemade Tortilla Chips w/ tomatillo, smoky chipotle, and roja salsas
Freshly Mashed Guacamole
Green Corn Tamales - sweet corn and hominy served w/ sour cream and salsa fresca
Plantain Empanadas - roasted plantains stuffed with black beans, cotija cheese, scallions, and poblanos drizzled with crema and chipotle salsa

Grilled Skirt Steak - marinated w/ garlic, cilantro, cumin, and cracked black pepper served with moros, marinated tomatoes, fresh corn relish, charred tomato-anejo sauce, and handmade flour tortilla
Grilled Citrus Chicken and Arugula - with toasted pepita seeds, manchego cheese, celery root, and cilantro lime vinaigrette
Chile Relleno - roasted poblanos stuffed with mexican cheeses served with red and green salsa, rice, and black beans
Grilled Breast of Turkey - peppered and vinegared served with baked honey lime yams and seared greens
