I've got a new squeeze and have been exploring a new hood lately, UES in the 70's.
Brunch at Boqueria was excellent. At 2 PM the place was buzzing. Most people seemed to be there for the unlimited drink special for brunch. Service was very attentive and the ambience was welcoming. Not too noisy for a full house.
We went low key with a luscious omelette, Tortilla de setas and Revuelta de gambas. Our mid day drinking days are over.
The omelette was tasty and packed with goat cheese. Plenty of shrimp in the revuelta which was served on an excellent brioche bun. Both entrees came with crisp spicy patatas brava drizzled with a creamy garlic sauce.
The paella for two looked marvelous on the next door diners table.
We are definitely heading back for dinner one night.
