Booking at Faviken (Sweden) - has anyone tried?

helen b | Jan 7, 201511:22 AM     8

UK chowhound calling.

Has anyone got any experience of Faviken booking? We're planning on going in July but booking doesn't open till April 1 (have tried to sweet talk them, but no joy, although they have informed me it's closed for a hunting festival w/c 20th July).

Does it go Noma crazy? Should I have multiple computers going at midnight?! And how much can I gamble on being able to get the day I want? Enough to book flights to/from the UK (we'd fly back from Are) and accommodation now? Just worried if I leave that to April 1 too I may end up looking foolish (geddit?!)

Also does anyone know of any pop-ups or other must-do foodie events in Stockholm/Uppsalla happening 24-30 July? My son is also asking whether there is anywhere doing decent Japanese - haven't been able to find any.

Finally, for those who've been to Faviken...please whet my appetite. I am beyond excited! Fingers crossed we'll get into Oaxen, Frantzen and maybe Matsbaren too while we're in town. Lucky me :)
