Book barmini followed by minibar, or separate days?

nomii | Nov 2, 2015 03:38 PM

I want to go to both barmini (for their cocktail flight) and minibar (for their tasting menu), and seeking opinions on if it should be done same-day or seperately. Specifically, is this too much food for an average person for one evening (we can eat a lot if hungry, but don't expect to win the 10lbs burger challenges). Also, does the 8pm reservation at minibar comes with an implied/automatic reservation at barmini or would it have to be handled seperately.

Same day:
- 6pm barmini followed by 8/8:30pm seating minibar
- Time efficiency: Given our trip to DC is only 3 days this time, going same evening (6pm barmini, 8pm seating minibar) will be time-efficient.
- Cab fare/driving ease: We will be driving to our hotel 20 mins away in the burbs and have a car, which means going to barmini followed by several hours at minibar will give plenty of time to sober up, instead of cabfare.

Different days:
- The only pro is that doing both on the same day might be a bit much in terms of food and drinks. Seeking opinions here if this is accurate? We will not be doing any wine/drink flights at minibar assuming barmini is done prior to it.
