Since I have not read a review on Bonnie's on the Gulf Fwy,and since I had dinner with my dad last weekend-
Bonnie's has been open for many years, originally built as The Foundry.
Every time we have been there, the food is outstanding. They specialize in steak and King Crab legs, and this is what you should order. Since I, nor my dad wanted to eat a lot, we split a 12oz Filet (2 in thick), and
sauteed mushrooms, along with a trip to the salad bar..
restaurants, the kitchen cut it, then cooked it to a perfect rare-to-medium rare, and brought it, along with 2 bowls with the mushrooms. They have a great salad/soup bar, and a decent wine/beer selection.
If you've ever driven by at lunch, you can see that it's always packed, mainly with business folk. I believe the 12oz filet was 22.95, and they
serve hot bread(small what loaves). Give it a try.
