This past weekend I lunched at Bonnie's Grill, and when one of the owner's asked how everything was, I took the opportunity to ask about the hamburger/sandwich buns they've been using lately. I don't like the new buns: they're too big, too dry, and mask the flavor of the sandwich contents with their sheer breadiness. The owner told me that they switched to the new buns because people complained about the old ones! Maybe they should have taken a survey first, because I found the old far superior to the new. In any case, he mentioned that they are auditioning buns from Sullivan St and Blue Ribbon, so hopefully we'll see something better in the future.
Also, he said that Bonnie's will be expanding their menu sometime in the next month, a redesign that's apparently been in the works for a while.
