Bongiorno's/Jasmine-San Diego

I echo the thanks to Buddha/Jeff for arranging the Jasmine Banquet. I really enjoyed both the conversation and the food. My wife tells me that good quality Cantonese food (as served at Jasmine) is generally not spicy. Perhaps (in addition to considering the football tailgate party) we should consider a group visit to Spicy City to try another (spicy) type of Chinese cuisine. My only concern is that I heard Spicy City is not as good as it was, owing possibly to the owners departure (??). Has anybody tried it recently?

I met up with Jeff at Bongiorno's in Solana Beach the day after the Jasmine banquet. I feel I should warn the readership that (despite the raves posted on this Board) Jeff was unimpressed with the Sicilian pizza--beware, because this man has discerning taste. I, however, continue to feel that the thin (original style) pizzas are quite good and authentic.
