Bone in short rib meat to ground beef

ekobeh | Jan 11, 201509:12 AM     5

I plan on making chili this weekend. I usually use ground beef but this time around I want to change it up and use some short ribs that I intend to cook on the bone. My recipe calls for 2 pounds of ground beef and I'm just wondering how much that would equal in terms of bone in short ribs because I know that the bone counts for some of the weight. I don't want to use 2 pounds of bone in short ribs and end up with not as much meat if the bone ends up taking up some of the weight.
