Bon Appetit has kicked off the last several years with its "Food Lover's Cleanse." Lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins. No refined sugar or processed ingredients. It's not a cleanse like lemon juice and cayenne—just a delicious way to start your year healthy.
The author, Sara Dickerman, skews to bold flavors and tends to favor Mediterranean influence over, say, Asian. In general, even if you don't do the whole meal plan (three meals and snacks for two weeks), which is hard work, there are excellent recipes in there. For those who have done all or parts of past years' cleanses, this year's looks to be better organized.
I'm going to be doing it again and would love to hear from others who do too (though I'll be a week or so behind).
