Say, have ya'll seen the "Special Collectors Edition" of Bon Appetit - The Soul of Mexico. A ton of restaurant suggestions and a lot of recipes, many of which are pretty easily accomplished. The photography is beautiful as well. Heavy emphasis on central Mexico, the colonial cities and the coastal areas. Baja gets more than a cursory mention (and there is a fish taco recipe). Would have like to have seen more on Veracruz/Tabasco and Guadalajara, but it's a big country, they had a lot of ground to cover.
Has anyone eaten at any of the Baja restaurants recommended by Bon Apetite - Cien Anos and La Differencia in Tijuana, the dining room at the Punta Morro resort, and El Numero Uno in Puerto Nuevo?
I don't work for Bon Appetit or have any affiliation with the magazine, but if you haven't seen this special issue, it is worth picking up.
