Late on Saturday, just as they were closing(9:30), my wife and I made our first visit to the new Bombay Garden in San Rafael. We had not been to their other locations, but had heard good things about the lunch buffet from friends (one who had lived in India), and on this board.

We found the dinner delicious and reasonably priced, the service friendly and efficient, and the ambiance pleasant. Mostly, we've been eating Indian food in SF and the East Bay, and very occaisionally at Lotus in San Rafael. We liked Bombay Garden better than Lotus (the food and the prices)and though maybe not as exciting as Ajanta or Shalimar, close enough.

We had Chicken Tandoori which was tasty and succulent and a rich and delicious Bengan Bhartha (baked eggplant. The many condiments were great! We'll try the lunch buffet soon!
