Boiled Crawfish for Shipping?

sf hound | Jun 16, 2004 05:46 PM

I'm coming to New Orleans for a business trip, and thanks to this board I have most of my meals lined up.

But where can I get boiled crawfish packaged to carry home? Last time I was there, a local took me to Deanie's in Metairie. The prices were reasonable, all things considered, and everything was packed so well that my take-home feast was in good shape even after my connections. Is this still a good place to go?

Also, this was pre-09/11, so with baggage restrictions I’m wondering if anyone knows a place that ships crawfish rather than just packing to ship.

I’ll be staying in the French Quarter, without a car, but will get a cab if necessary.

Thanks for any help!
