Monday morning we got ready to say good-bye to Skye Cottage. Bo and Annette had already sneaked away at dawn to get to work on the dot.
Lynn had brought eggs laid by her Petaluma sister-in-law's free-range chickens. The glowing orange yolks and dense whites made a richly soft scramble with some creamy truffle cheese. Niman Ranch bacon, Peet's coffee, toasted Artisan sourdough, and fresh OJ from Fiesta made up the morning repast.
We still have the somewhat juvenile practice of lining up our empty bottles and admiring our hard work. Here's the picture of the dead soldiers consumed at Skye Cottage.
