Bobby Van's Steakhouse in DC?

GMON | Jun 7, 200012:36 PM 1
Washington DC Steakhouse

Anyone been to this place recently and, if so, what did you think? In particular, how does it compare to other high-end DC steak places (Mortons, Ruths Chris, Sam and Harry's, Smith and Wallensky, etc.)? I generally prefer Morton's to the others I've been to, while my wife prefers Sam and Harry's. The one time I tried S&W I thought it was a notch below the others (tougher, less flavorful meat)...And at those prices, you don't get a second chance from me! THanks. GMON

Actually I haven't been there, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to keep the conversation going and add the Prime Rib as being a more than amusing high end steak house. Great place to go if only for the piano, floral displays, the 80 year old guys with the combovers and the tasteful leopardskin rug. It's definitely Frank Sinatra's kinda place.
