Thanks LindaR for this recommendation on another thread. I felt like this place needed it's own topic. We stopped in and were able to try some of the baked goods but not lunch. We will definitely be back and time our trip for that. Everything was from scratch and quality ingredients. The cinnamon rolls were some of the best I have ever had. They were lightly glazed and wonderful cinnamon and the taste was just very pure(no off tastes from cheap fats or flour) is the only way I can describe it. We had the oatmeal cookies and the "everyday cookies" all crispy and very tasty. You can look for Bluestem at the Springfield farmer's market and other events. They are only open Fri, Sat and Sunday at present. The owner is very committed to baking from scratch..the Bluestem Bake shop is a rare bird.
