Would blueberries pair well with an almond flavored crust/topping? I'm making blueberry cobbler...

I've had a hankering for a blueberry cobbler these past few days but finding a recipe that suits my tastes has proven to be difficult. I've read a lot of blueberry dessert recipes from pies to shortcakes, gathering tips and tricks along the way and finally came up with a makeshift recipe of sorts.

I've decided to use this pie crust recipe (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/do...) for a bottom crust and the biscuit recipe from this (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/20... put on top. I don't know if two crust cobbler is a thing but it's what I'm craving, lol!

For the blueberries I'm gonna add some sugar a bit of lemon and an even smaller bit of orange juice in addition to a little cinnamon and nutmeg. I was going to add maybe 1/4 cup sugar to the biscuit-y dough recipe in addition to maybe 1/2 tsp of almond extract and was wondering if anyone thinks this would be delicious, lol?

I'd like to think that I have a pretty solid idea of what flavors go well together when it comes to baking/cooking but truthfully I've only baked with fruits, especially berries, a handful of times. I love almond anything though and I feel like a subtle almond taste could really compliment the blueberries but at the end of the day I just don't know D:

So any constructive input or tips would be well welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you!
