Blue sky cafe Manzanita Oregon

Man oh man what a disappointing meal. It could have been because it was our 10 year anniversary and I was expecting a lot- but I'd heard this place was the best in the area so we wanted to check it out.
We started by trying to order wine- we ordered 4 bottles before we chose one that was actually available. Bummer. Then we ordered the large portion of Brushetta (HA!) for $8.50 which was one, that's right, one piece of bread about the size of your palm. I have to say it was tasty- but one piece of bread... Come on! Now the saddest part, There are no vegetarian entree options but they did concoct a delicious creamy pesto pasta for my husband- ($16 ) however I decided to be swayed by the servers recommendation of the suckling pig. I guess the key word in this case being SUCK - it was more like salt pork. It was dry dry dry and SALTTTTTY! It was the absolute saltiest meal I've ever had in my life. My tongue felt numb as though it had been pickled- I felt "assalted".It came with under done greasy potatoes. I ordered a side of greens to make myself feel cleansed some how only to find the greens were even saltier than the sucky pig! They were inedible. Then to top it off they had bundt cake with Haagen Daz ice cream for dessert. I mean- I could have gone to the 7-11 for that. Okay, here's the best part- They do not accept credit cards. Luckily my husband had enough cash on him but places with $50+ bottles of wine on the menu(and 8$ brushetta) should take credit cards!!! I would maybe try this place again because it does have a good reputation as far as I know- but don't go there if you are looking for a celebration meal.
