Blue Ribbon Sushi

Steven Cray | Nov 18, 2003 10:40 PM

Stopped in for some sushi at Blue Ribbon on Sunday evening and contrary to some of what has been mentioned by some Chowhounds, we found everything to be of the highest quality. Though as I have also noted on this board, the prices charged dictate that everything be superior. Having said that, I was very happy with our offerings.

We sat at the sushi bar and didn't stray much from basic sushi and a few rolls. The marinated arctic char was very tasty and tender. The tuna was "just hoisted fresh" and the eel was perfect.

We arrived pretty late and had the whole sushi bar to ourselves, which gave us a great opportunity for the sushi chef to recommend a couple of tasty treats. The seared bonita was a highlight as was the Japanese mackerel.
