Blue Ribbon "going south" ?

michael | Mar 27, 2004 07:41 AM

I had dinner last night at the Blue Ribbon. Needless to say, it was very disappointing. The oysters were not the usual Malpeage variety, but rather a type from Virginia. They were flavorless and reminded me of gulf oysters, which are normally $5.00 a dozen and served at places like Hooters throughout the South. The rest of the meal was lackluster and rather expensive given the quality/price ratio. The service was very poor, which is something I never experienced there before.

I've been eating at the Blue Ribbon since its' opening and have seen it slowly decline over the past few years. Last night will be my last visit to this establishment.

Where do I go for a decent oyster?
