Blue Ribbon -- raised prices?

Jim Hamilton | May 16, 2002 01:05 PM

I've gone to Blue Ribbon on 5th Ave a bunch of times and really appreciated the quality of food you could get for the money. Although most of their entrees are over $20, there used to be four excellent sandwiches (burger, duck club, catfish, the "Blue Reuben") that, unless I've gone insane, were under $9. I loved beating the system, getting in and out with a fantastic (and huge) plate of food, excellent service and atmosphere, and 2 beers for twenty bucks or so. But I went last night, having not been there for a month, and I swear they raised their prices on the low-ticket items. The burger, duck club etc. are all in the $13-$14 range now. Am I crazy that they used to be more like $8.50? Is the dream really over?
